Features
Atracast is the only digital signage platform with a full browser-based slide designer, live service menus, background music, building announcement boards, and real-time push — all in one product.
Slide Designer
The built-in drag-and-drop canvas editor lets anyone create polished, pixel-perfect layouts on a 1920×1080 canvas. Add text layers with custom fonts, sizes, colors, line height, and letter spacing. Drop in images or videos directly from your media library. Draw shapes — rectangles, ellipses, banners — with custom fills, strokes, and border radius.
Every layer can be freely positioned, resized, rotated, locked, or hidden. Reorder layers with a drag handle. Set opacity per layer. Apply entrance animations — fade in, slide from any direction, zoom in, or typewriter — each with configurable duration and delay.
Backgrounds can be a solid color, a custom gradient, a full-bleed image from your library, or a looping video. What you design is exactly what plays on the TV — rendered natively in HTML, not flattened to an image.
Playlist Builder
Arrange designed slides, raw media files, or external URLs into playlists. Set how long each item shows. Choose a transition effect per item — fade, slide left/right/up/down, zoom in/out, flip, or wipe — or inherit the playlist default so everything stays consistent without manual effort.
Add background music from your media library. Set the volume, enable shuffle, and activate smart ducking — the music automatically lowers to 20% when a video item plays, then restores when it ends. Music continues independently across all slide transitions without skipping.
Drag items to reorder. Bulk-update durations. The playlist builder is designed for operators who manage content daily, not just at setup.
Scheduling
Create schedules with start and end dates, time-of-day windows, and recurrence rules (daily, weekly, custom RRULE). A gym can show a "morning class" playlist from 6am–10am, then automatically switch to a general promo from 10am onwards — all without anyone logging in.
Higher-priority schedules preempt lower ones. Emergency alerts override everything and push instantly to every screen. Perfect for retail chains that need to broadcast a flash sale or property managers announcing urgent building notices.
Content approval is baked in. Editors submit a schedule for review. Admins receive a 6-digit code by email. The schedule only activates after explicit verification — nothing goes live by accident.
Real-Time Push
When content is approved, Atracast pushes it immediately over Server-Sent Events (SSE). Every registered screen receives the update within seconds — no refresh required, no delay. The TV client then acknowledges receipt so you know it landed.
A 30-second heartbeat polling cycle runs as a safety net, catching any screens that missed the push event. Screens that go offline continue playing their cached playlist and re-sync automatically when connectivity returns.
The TV client is a browser-based PWA — no proprietary player hardware required. It runs on smart TVs, Amazon Fire Sticks, Raspberry Pi, Chrome sticks, or any device with a modern browser.
Condo Board
Property managers and building administrators publish announcements directly from the dashboard. No design work, no file uploads, no on-site visits. Each announcement has a title, optional body text, an urgency level (Info, Warning, or Urgent), an optional image from your media library, and an expiry date.
Expired announcements disappear from screens automatically — no one needs to log in to remove them. Active announcements cycle with a configurable timer. The display adapts to the available wall space: image on the left, right, as a full background, or hidden entirely.
Typography, colors, font family, and text alignment are all adjustable per installation without touching any code. Urgent announcements appear in red, warnings in amber, and informational notices in blue — instantly communicating the level of urgency to anyone walking past.
Childcare Board
Childcare centers and kindergartens have unique display needs that generic signage software can't address. Atracast's childcare module gives each center its own rooms, and each room its own content: a daily activity schedule, weekly meal plan, birthday board, and notice board.
The daily schedule shows activity names, times, icons, and per-activity color coding so children and staff can follow the day at a glance. The meal menu can be pinned to a specific weekday or set to auto-display today's meals — each meal card has its own color, image, description, and allergen tags.
The birthday board automatically highlights any child with a birthday today. The notice board works exactly like the condo board — urgency levels, auto-expiry, images — so staff can post reminders and warnings without any design work.
Live Content
The Clock layer shows a live digital clock in 12h or 24h format with your choice of font and color — perfect for lobbies, waiting rooms, and corporate offices.
The Ticker layer scrolls headlines across the bottom (or any position) of a slide. Connect it to any RSS or Atom feed — industry news, local news, weather headlines, or your own internal feed. Content refreshes automatically on your chosen schedule.
RSS feed subscriptions can be filtered by category and keyword so only relevant content appears. Multiple feeds can be combined into a single ticker, giving screens a curated, always-fresh stream of information without anyone editing it manually.
Forex Rates
The Forex widget pulls live exchange rates from the European Central Bank via Frankfurter.app — a free, public data source that requires no API key, no registration, and no billing. Rates are cached every 15 minutes so screens always show current data without hammering the API.
Pick a base currency (USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, or any of 28 supported currencies) and choose which target pairs to display. Each rate shows a trend arrow (▲/▼) indicating whether it moved up or down since the last fetch, giving viewers immediate directional context.
The widget is a free-position overlay — drag and resize it anywhere on the frame canvas, from a slim ticker bar at the bottom of the screen to a full-width rate board or even a full-screen display. Two display styles are available: a scrolling horizontal ticker (ideal for narrow bars) and a vertical rate board with one row per pair (ideal for dedicated currency screens). Flag emojis, font size, text color, up/down colors, and scroll speed are all configurable per widget.
Device Management
Register any display with a unique 64-character device token. The TV client uses this token to authenticate and receive its assigned playlist — no username/password on the screen, no risk of credential leakage.
Monitor the live status of every device from the devices dashboard. See which screens are online, their last heartbeat time, and whether they have acknowledged the latest content push. Identify screens that are offline or out of sync at a glance.
Push an emergency alert to all online devices with one button press — it interrupts whatever is playing and displays the alert immediately. Group screens into zones or locations for targeted content delivery.
Free for up to 3 screens. No credit card required.
Social Media Widget
Put your social profiles on every screen.
The Social Media widget displays your business's social accounts as a persistent overlay above all other content — no slide editing required. Supports 12 platforms: Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Telegram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Pinterest, Threads, and Reddit.
Three display styles let you match the look to each screen. Bar places a slim horizontal strip of branded icons and handles across any edge — ideal for a bottom overlay on a busy slide. Card renders a "Follow Us" panel with a grid of platform icons. QR Cycle rotates through each selected account one at a time, displaying a scannable QR code that links directly to the profile — ideal for lobby screens or waiting areas where customers have time to engage.
Every aspect is configurable per widget: choose which accounts appear, set background opacity (including fully transparent to let slide content show through), adjust icon size, font family, text color, accent color, and QR code size. The overlay persists across all slide transitions so the social bar never disappears between items.
